With a seemingly endless stream of premieres across multiple platforms weekly, the artistry and personality behind many of the emerging acts creating the music we love can often get lost in the shuffle. Notas is our new premiere format, where we give the artists behind the music a chance to further express themselves, and take a more personal approach to introducing their work to the world.

Eladio Carrión needs no introduction. The swimmer-turned-comedian-turned-urbano all-star has been making waves with his recently-released debut album Sauce Boyz, and the Humacao-raised rapper just released his video for “3 AM” feat. Brytiago. We caught up with him at a Brooklyn institution over some drinks, pool and jukebox corridos and had him tell us a bit about himself while drawing an unexpectedly perfect self-portrait.

Watch “3 AM” above, and learn more about Eladio Carrión below.
