With a seemingly endless stream of premieres and releases across multiple platforms weekly, the artistry and personality behind many of the emerging acts creating the music we love can often get lost in the shuffle. Notas is our new premiere and song write-up format, where we give the artists behind the music a chance to further express themselves, and take a more personal approach to introducing their work to the world.

It’s Mariah, bitch. The Boricua-Cubana “Perreito” princess is back with another single bound to get stuck in our heads — this time, with fellow Bori jokester, Guaynaa. With its puro perreo flow and wry innuendos, “Taxi” is grounds for all the wild characters — a.k.a. even the best of us on a night out — to finally indulge. The rising reggaeton pair also dropped a raucous music video for the single, filmed right from Mariah’s Miami stomping grounds. “There’s even deleted scenes that didn’t come out in the video — con eso te digo todo,” Mariah tells Remezcla. Check out what she means below.
