A duo such as the mustachioed, party bandits known as Los Master Plus were always at risk of becoming a long, kitschy running joke that outlived its novelty. How long can one can one make a career out of the same gag? Thankfully, El Comanche and Larry Mon have steered clear of that trap and have evolved pretty well as a fun-loving, merry-making duo who have come a long way since they translated a Daft Punk track years ago.

LMP take a cosmic cumbia turn on their latest, “Ritmo Universal.” It’s a slow jam produced with the aid of producer G-Flux, a.k.a. the co-author of “El Ciclón Del Caribe,” whose style is stamped all over this hip-gyrator. Download the track and its two remixes below including the “Rebajado” version which we assume was produced for the stoner crowd.

Don’t forget to check out both Los Master Plus and G-Flux together in concert if you’re in Pittsburgh on the 22nd or D.C. on the 23rd.
