The guys from Enchufada are spoiling us with each release from their Upper Cuts series. Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month we find ourselves refreshing their SoundCloud page, waiting for a fresh new piece of global bass greatness to pop in. But this week we actually have the pleasure of premiering the latest Upper Cuts installment, and it comes courtesy of young São Paulo-based producer VINÍ.
The MAN Recordings associate contributed to the series with a baile funk blast of a song called “Preferido.” He’s used to mixing the genre with sounds from grime or electro, and this time around he infused this new track with some trap flavor, resulting in a bouncy party anthem that we’re not entirely sure we’ll be able to get it out of our heads anytime soon. He keeps things interesting with his use of chopped vocal samples to create rhythm and a vocal hook which, in the end, convinces us of who’s the meninas‘ favorite DJ. Hint: it’s VINÍ.
