Sidestepper’s Crowd-Funded Video “Come See Us Play” is All Caribe Vibes

2015 is the year that marked the unexpected comeback of electronic, Latin-infused band Sidestepper. As we previously reported, they broke their 7-year silence with flavorful album Supernatural Love, and even invited fans to take part in a crowdfunding campaign to help kickstart the record.

The return of this beautiful Colombian group is full-speed, and they’ve released a new video for “Come See Us Play”. Shot in Puerto Lopéz —Colombia’s magical and geographical center— the clip portrays the band hanging out with kids, playing, and even lighting up some hot air balloons (globos de cantoya, as we Latinos say). This new video was directed by the renowned filmmaker Jorge Navas, (who also did their previous video “Deja”), and it captures the very warm and Caribbean essence of the band’s folklore.

The crowdfunding was super successful and the video’s ready to enjoy. But be sure to check out and share their official site, where they’re building a gallery with fan material.

Will a new tour announcement follow? No word yet on that but it might be time to go see the Sidestepper play.
