Mexicali, Mexico’s Siete Catorce returns with a swirling and mystical techno groove for “Dos,” his latest single. The producer’s club-friendly sound oftentimes veers in the direction of glitchy tribal guarachero, but this production pulses with electronic energy, has space and depth and is more techno in style. Also notable is the how the breaks scrape against the churning rhythm, creating a bit of a native/organic sweep in the production that distinguishes the feel just enough to make the track unique, but not wildly different.
