Stream Delorean’s Latest 80s-Inspired Electro-Pop Track “Crystal”

There’s new Delorean music, and that’s great news. The Spanish quartet’s most recent album, Apar, came out in 2013 – and it looks like their newest effort picks up where that one left off: experimenting with more live instruments and less sampling.

“Crystal” is an 80s-inspired electro-pop track that sounds as clear and crisp as its name suggests. The upper range of frequencies is filled with cymbal hits, and there’s a rhythmic synth line riding the whole song that’s just so contagious and playful. Ekhi Lopetegi‘s vocals are spot on, singing in English, as usual, and he’s joined by vocalist Hanin Zueiter on the plaintive “you don’t want me to leave” – a simple, but key lyric.

“Crystal” will be out June 23rd on their own PHLEX imprint. Expect their new album early next year.
