Madrid’s Trajano! have decided to take a break from a long year of promoting their album Antropología and focus on writing new material for 2016. As a parting gift, they are releasing “Apártate,” a seemingly straightforward post-punk jam that allows a very refreshing and loose creative vision to peek through. As with many bands that take influence from post-punk’s staple acts (like Joy Division), one might feel as though the avenues have already been explored. Trajano! has found a way to climax this track to anthemic territory, and it works. Hopefully the band allows themselves the freedom to write like this during their break.
