Tropkillaz were featured on the original version of Brazilian emcee Karol Conka’s “Tombei,” released back in December – meaning the Brazilian duo of producers DJ Zegon and Laudz knew just what the track needed: an even sicker beat.
While staying true to the song, Tropkillaz managed to weave in finger snaps and an updated instrumental for the dance anthem that has Soundcloud users begging for the duo to release the new production. There’s a taste of DJ Mustard to it. Which is likely why it’s dubbed the “Tropkillaz Radio Remix.” The Roc Nation DJ and his catchy melodies rule mainstream US radio. Combined, the production twosome has worked with everyone from Kanye West to Brazil’s rising artists, ahem – Karol Conka. Karol with a K already has a debut album (Batuk Freak, released under English label Mr Bongo) and a slot on the FIFA 14 soundtrack with her single “Boa Noite” under her belt.
