A Warmer Take on Coldwave in Black & White in Glass Gang’s “The Fall” Video

Spanish video artist Lur Olaizola was the one in charge of directing the music video for “The Fall,” the first single off Glass Gang‘s new mixtape, Lower, which was released last month. The video is a free interpretation of the Brooklyn-based trio’s song by the director, and features black and white images of hands pulling a rope and light bulbs falling and smashing to the ground, while soundtracked by the band’s warmer take on coldwave. It is extremely simple and elegant but matches the mood of the song. I know this is a metaphor for something, but I have yet to figure it out what that is. I’ll get back to you on this. Meanwhile, just immerse yourself in it.
