Watch: Ulises Hadjis’ Cameo-Filled “Consecuencias y Reclamos”

It’s already been three years since the release of Cosas Perdidas, the stunning album that earned Venezuelan singer-songwriter Ulises Hadjis two Latin Grammy nominations. Now, he just dropped a brand new single, previewing what he’s got in store for us on his yet-untitled third album, set to come out later this year.

Consecuencias y Reclamos” was produced by heavyweight Andrés Levin, as the entire album will be, and its music video is star-studded, tangled-up, and cat-friendly. Directed by Los Niños Perdidos, the video features some of Hadjis’ dearest friends, like Juan Manuel Torreblanca, Andrés Landon, Centavrvs member Carmen Ruíz, Venezuelan actor Jean Paul Leroux, and more, who talk on the phone with him in a messy/cute room full of wires and cat memorabilia, while performing the song. He sings the catchy chorus “bailamos para no sentirnos mal,” as little simple things appear in strange contexts, making them seem surreal.

Make sure you catch Ulises Hadjis next Sunday at Festival Estéreo Picnic, at the Club Social Music stage.
