Barcelona-based jukesmiths ¥€$O continue to push forward their experimental juke standard with the dub bassline-driven pulse pounder “Malavida.” This ode to the bad life is actually quite good, with the half-time pace set by the bassline allowing for the riddim to bubble over and define the track’s undulating melody. The top-line vocal sample just demands that you “feel that shit” on the dance floor, which actually isn’t so much a demand as it is a celebratory exhortation.
