Track Meet head honcho and producer Ynfynyt Scroll is sending a warm Caribbean breeze our way this winter, thanks to a new track. “Way Up” is a remix of the eponymous song by Jamaican MC Popcaan. While the original has a more pop-oriented production, Ynfynyt Scroll squeezes out its dancehall heart, taking it straight to the dance floor. He manages to keep things mellow with marimba-tinged melodic lines and airy synths, in contrast to Popcaan’s strong delivery. Start your year with a little Jamaican flavor.
