Last summer, ZutZut‘s “Tu No Tiene View” was on a loop in our office – the perfect combination of braggadocio and dutty wine potential to get the dance floor lit every time.

Now, the Monterrey, Mexico producer returns with El Pack Vol. 1, a collection of five tracks that explore the – in his words – “third-world” roots of global bass music. Free-to-download, these five tracks explore music from Peru to Angola, making key sonic stops in baile funk, dembow and kuduro, too. The ambient melody over thick dembow drum loops on “Lagrimas y Hustle” is particularly well-delivered, the “tears and hustle” leaking through the production.

Those familiar with the producer should also be happy to know that baile-ballroom track “Jala” is here for free, too, possibly the most dance-floor ready of the productions in this release.
