It appears that Becky G stopped wearing her engagement ring after her fiancé Sebastián Lletget’s alleged cheating rumors surfaced last week. Though she has yet to make an official statement about the allegations, she seemingly didn’t wear her rock during yesterday’s (Mar. 27) public appearance at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards that took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.

This absence of jewelry comes after Lletget posted an online statement about the cheating rumors yesterday (Mar. 27). “Over the last several weeks, during a moment I regret deeply, a 10-minute lapse in judgment resulted in an extortion plot,” he wrote. “Since this person did not get what they wanted, it has now become a public social media spectacle filled with more lies than any truth and false posts aimed at the love of my life, the one person I should never take for granted or put at risk.”

Regardless if Becky will respond publicly or not, it’s clear that she’s moving forward with her public commitments — and without him. Though this could be only a coincidence, she walked the red carpet alone at yesterday’s 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards. She later won an award in the Latin Pop/Reggaeton Song Of The Year category for her smash collaboration “MAMIII,” alongside the Colombian superstar Karol G.

In Becky’s first Instagram post following Lletget’s public response, she wrote: “no words but thank you 💙.” The Instagram post shows photos of her accepting her award, posing with the trophy, and on the red carpet.

Though we don’t know what’s next for the Mexican-American pop star, fans are pushing for a collaboration with Shakira, a la “TQG.” And let’s be honest: with a break-up anthem like “MAMIII” under her belt already, and in all regional Mexican album in the works, a tiradera corrido wouldn’t be too far-fetched now, would it?
