Sasha Sokol is pushing back on an excuse that media personality Yordi Rosado gave for an interview he conducted with music and TV producer Luis de Llano earlier this year. At the time, Rosado was criticized for his casual approach to the conversation, especially since Sokol had just publicly accused de Llano of sexually abusing her when she was a teenager.

Last March, Sokol revealed that when she was 14 years old, she was allegedly the victim of an abusive relationship at the hands of de Llano, who was 39 then.

During a recent interview on his online show, The Interview with Yordi Rosado, the host referenced his earlier interview with de Llano while speaking to his guest, Mexican journalist Adela Micha.

“Sometimes I get so involved in the interview that I become a spectator,” Rosado said on his show. “The subject of Luis was more delicate. I think I treated the subject very lightly, very superficially. I lacked experience on a topic that was extremely important.”

The comment did not sit well with Sokol, who responded strongly to Rosado on Twitter. “Yordi: You didn’t lack experience. You lacked empathy,” she wrote. “Of course, you are not to blame for what your guests tell you; but you are responsible for your response to what you hear.”

Sokol continued: “What will a potential abuser think when they see your interview on March 6? And above all, what will other victims of abuse think?”

In a string of tweets, Sokol’s frustration with Rosado’s interview and his poor excuse was evident. “In this country, a man can sit on a successful program, talk as if nothing had happened about an illicit relationship, and the interviewer responds, “Ah, did you only go there for six months? And were they very much in love?”

She also accused Rosado of only caring about his show’s ratings and didn’t think of the child his guest allegedly abused. “While you were asking those questions, you were thinking about the ratings [of] your program,” she wrote. “You didn’t think of me. Not me at 14, not me today. You either have empathy, or you don’t. You didn’t have it.”

De Llano had admitted to being in a relationship with Sokol when she was a minor. “Yes, I had an affair with Sasha,” he said. “I fell in love, and she sent me to hell. It makes me very sad that instead of talking about Sasha for what she is now, we have to talk about ‘poor little girl.’ It’s not true.”
