Amanda Serrano and Katie Taylor are getting a rematch. The match, which previously made history as the first-ever featuring two female fighters to headline Madison Square Garden, is set to stream exclusively on Netflix on Saturday, July 20. This time they’re heading to Arlington, Texas, where the match will be available globally.

It will be the co-main event of the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight, which will take place at the same venue, AT&T Stadium in Texas. The winner of the bout will be the undisputed super lightweight champion.

Puerto Rican Amanda “The Real Deal” Serrano’s record of 46-2-1 with 30 KOs makes her one of the most accomplished boxers of her generation. But Serrano isn’t content with just the numbers or the praise. Instead, Serrano is committed to changing the rules of the sport, by making it so women are allowed to compete by the same rules as men in the sport.

But first, this iconic rematch.

“I promised my fans they would see this rematch after we made history at MSG and it feels like a dream come true to know that Katie and I are finally making it happen on the biggest stage possible to show the world what elite women’s boxing is all about,” said Amanda Serrano in a statement.

“While my focus continues to be on giving women the choice to fight with the same rules as men, I’ve always said that this is the one fight I’d go back to 10×2 for if that’s what Katie wanted. I’m coming for her belts, she wants 10×2, so that’s what we will do. I believe I won our first fight, but I didn’t get the decision, so this time I’m not leaving it to the judges,” the boxer added.

By 10×2, she means the format women fight in, or ten rounds of 2 minutes each. The format for men, meanwhile, is 12×3, or twelve rounds of 3 minutes each. That’s what Serrano wants for men and women across the board. For now, however, she’ll return to 10×2 once more for the match she feels she should have won. One more chance.

Amanda Serrano vs Katie Taylor will stream on Saturday, July 20, 2024 on Netflix alongside Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson.
