Everyone wants a piece of Bad Bunny these days. The iconic Renaissance Man was recently invited to play in the 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) All-Star Celebrity Softball Game next week (July 18).

Bad Bunny will join fellow Latine entertainers Anthony Ramos (In the Heights), The Kid Mero (Desus & Mero), and Guillermo Rodriguez (Jimmy Kimmel Live!) who were already announced as part of the lineup. Other celebrities who will play alongside Bad Bunny include actors Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man: No Way Home), and popstar JoJo Siwa.

Bad Bunny, of course, isn’t a stranger to sports. He’s played in NBA celebrity basketball games during All-Star weekend before.

Then, there are also those few times he’s shown off his wrestling skills with the WWE, including at WrestleMania and the Royal Rumble. Bad Bunny was so impressive in the ring, that WWE wrestler Damian Priest called him “one of us.”

Last month, Bad Bunny recorded himself hitting a baseball on the field. Maybe he already knew playing in the celebrity game was a possibility and wanted to make sure he could connect the bat with the ball.

In 2018, Bad Bunny threw out the ceremonial first pitch during a game between the Miami Marlins and the Colorado Rockies.

The 2022 MGM Rewards All-Star Celebrity Softball Game will take place on July 18 at approximately 10:15 p.m. ET on the MLB Network. It will also stream live on YouTube, Peacock, Pluto TV, Bleacher Report, and across MLB’s social platforms.
