It’s no secret that sporting events could be a breeding ground for what some might call creativity and others stupidity. Between the adrenaline and the alcohol, fans are likely to feel like they are capable of anything at the stadium, for better or worse. It’s therefore not surprising to see the news coming out of Argentina, as a Boca Juniors fan’s ingenuous plan turned out to be a massive failure. The intrepid fan wanted to sneak into the home supporters section of the stadium, so he tried to squeeze through a hall in the wall. The result…was exactly what you would expect:

The hole is about the size of a cinderblock and is used often by smaller fans as a shortcut through the stadium, but it wasn’t quite big enough for this sweatpants-wearing fan, whose ambitions were thwarted by physics. After getting stuck, he immediately yelled out for his friends, who came to try to pry him loose, but not before spectators snapped a few fantastic photos. Overall, it took around six minutes to get the courageous-and-foolish Boca supporter out of the wall, just in time to create a viral phenomenon.

He reportedly came out of the incident without any major injuries, just a few scratches, a ton of embarrassment, and a funny story. On the bright side, Boca was able to take care of business with a 4-0 win over Belgrano on the day. All’s well that ends well.
