Chicharito Just Scored His 100th European Goal, Relive His Goofy First One

After six years of playing in the European leagues, Javier “Chicharito” Hernández has reached a milestone in his career. During today’s match between Bayer Leverkusen and Monaco in the Champions League, Chicharito headed his 100th goal. And it’s an even sweeter moment because it also earned his team the win.

Since debuting in Europe in 2010, Chicharito has played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen. According to ESPN’s Stats & Info account, these goals have come against 48 different teams – more than half came from time at Man United.

Chicharito’s 100th goal is a professional highlight, but it’s also brought a lot of joy to his fans. Mexican Twitter exploded with congratulatory messages to the Mexican national. Check out a few messages below:

From extremely skilled goals to not-so-pretty ones, Chicharito’s scored all manner of goals throughout the years. This includes the goofy way he opened his account in his competitive debut for Manchester United back in 2010.
