Did Ronaldinho Just Play His Last Game for LigaMX?

We all know that the soccer field is like an amusement park for Ronaldinho. But it wasn’t like that last night when the Brazilian star was substituted off just before halftime in the 1st leg game of the Liguilla MX semifinal between Queretaro and Pachuca. Dinho immediately hit the showers, and left the stadium right after – even though the match was still very much happening.

Judging from his stank expression when Queretaro’s manager Victor Manuel Vucetich decided to sub him as the team trailed 2-0, the tense relationship between Dinho and Vucetich is only going to escalate.

In fact, it’s likely that those were Ronaldinho’s last minutes on the field in Mexico, as his bad attitude towards the team manager might very well get him benched for the 2nd leg game of the semifinal.

The Brazilian star, who arrived in Mexico one year ago with a multi-million dollar contract, recently announced that he’ll be leaving Queretaro at the end of the season. According to his manager, who is also his brother, Dinho will be seeking a new team in the MLS.

It will be the end to a roller coaster year for Ronaldinho – there have been lows, like the criticism he received for partying too much and abandoning his team before the match against Toluca, and highs, like the glorious afternoon a month ago in the Azteca Stadium, when he scored two goals in the fifteen minutes he played.

Unfortunately, the last image we have of Ronaldinho in Mexican soccer might be of him storming off the soccer field, while his team lost the semifinal in la Liguilla MX.
