Seattle news outlet KING 5 has brought a totally bizarre stabbing incident involving Guatemalan soccer star Marco Pappa and Miss Washington USA Stormy Keffeler to our attention.
The details are murky, but apparently Pappa – recently traded to the Colorado Rapids from the Seattle Sounders – was rushed to a hospital at some point last month after police found him and Keffeler inside a South Lake Union apartment, the former with a stab wound to his abdomen. He underwent emergency surgery. WTF?
Neither Pappa nor Keffeler have fixed stories regarding what actually went down that day, and no arrests have been made.
José Pappa, Marco’s brother, who was supposedly spending time in Seattle last month, said that he was unaware of any incident involving his sibling, and that he was doing just fine. “I find it strange because I returned to Guatemala about a week ago and spent the whole month of December with Marco in the U.S. and nothing happened,” he said.
On Thursday, Keffeler resigned as Miss Washington USA, according to KING 5. Hm…either someone is really trying to cover up what must be a pretty ugly incident, or José went MIA for a decent chunk of time while his bro was recovering from surgery.
