Giovani Dos Santos won’t be helping Mexico earn a spot in the FIFA Confederations Cup this weekend. Today, manager Ricardo “Tuca” Ferretti confirmed that because of an injury during an LA Galaxy game, Dos Santos won’t be playing in Saturday’s game against the United States.

“I can give a report on Giovani’s situation, who will not play. He has a muscular problem, naturally, he can’t be with us, so we are seeing who will take his place on the team,” Ferretti said, according to Medio Tiempo.

He added that he doesn’t have a problem with the Dos Santos bros. Rafael Márquez and Andrés Guardado’s availability was also up in the air, but they will be there with their tacos.

Saturday’s game will decide who will be in the Confederations Cup, and, as with any U.S.-Mexico game that pits the two country’s A teams against one another, it will give one nation bragging rights.
