Jordan Chiles is among the women in sports icons featured in Nike’s Super Bowl LIX ad, the first time the company has aired an ad during the NFL’s biggest game since 1998. The commercial, titled “So Win,” is part of Nike’s push to support women’s sports.
“You don’t wait for attention, you take it. You put in the work; you stay ready; and, when the moment comes, you own it,” Chiles said in a Nike press release. “Winning isn’t just about medals. It’s about overcoming, about proving to yourself that you’re capable of more than you ever imagined. And doing it all authentically.”
The gymnast appears alongside Caitlin Clark, Sabrina Ionescu, Sha’Carri Richardson, A’ja Wilson, and Sophia Wilson in the ad, which is narrated by Grammy Award-winning artist Doechii. According to Nike, the ad is meant to “harness Nike’s iconic roster to encourage all athletes to block out the noise, dig in, and let their hard work speak for itself.”
“At Nike, we make sure the athlete is at the center of everything we do, from product creation to storytelling,” Nicole Graham, Chief Marketing Officer, NIKE, Inc. said. “We are at our best when we are representing the voice of the athlete and their voice becomes our voice. This brand anthem, featuring elite Nike athletes, is a perfect example of how we can inspire everyone to win, whatever that means for them.”

Jordan Chiles, a two-time Olympian and member of the last U.S. Olympic gymnastics team has won two Olympic gold medals, a gold and a silver. But she is, perhaps, better known for the medal she didn’t win. Or, the medal she did win, and that was then stripped from her after the International Olympic Committee claimed that an appeal that gave her a higher score wasn’t submitted on time. Chiles is currently participating in the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championship with her school, UCLA.
