Karol G will be present at the La Liga Clásico. The Colombian singer will see her logo on the jersey of FC Barcelona as the Spanish club faces up against their biggest rivals Real Madrid in the Clásico of Spanish Fútbol. The game is set to be played April 21st.
The logo will reportedly be the heart of thorns that Karol G has tattooed on her left arm. She’s previously spoken about the tattoo and said, “The tattoo represents a moment in my life in which I questioned myself a lot, I became stronger and I became much weaker. It was a very important moment for me personally, not for my career. For Carolina.”
This Karol G jersey marks the fourth time FC Barcelona has collaborated with famous singers since signing the agreement with Spotify. Karol G will be the first Latina in this collaboration. The first three artists were Rosalía, Drake, and The Rolling Stones.
No price for the jerseys has yet been announced, though the prices are expected to remain in line with what the jerseys for the collaboration with The Rolling Stones were. Those jerseys sold for 399 euros (436.66 USD) for the basic jersey with just the logo and 2,999 for the special jersey with the signature of the 22 players called up for the match. (3,282.08 USD).
Karol G is currently on tour. She was last in Costa Rica and is set to head to the Dominican Republic next. She was recently named Billboard magazine’s 2024 Woman of the Year. She also recently won her first Grammy and became the first female artist to win the Best Música Urbana Album.
