Lionel Messi continues to shine on the field for his newest team, Major League Soccer’s Inter Miami FC. On Sunday (August 6), the Argentine superstar scored on a free kick to tie up the match 4-4 against FC Dallas before Miami went to earn the victory, 5-3, in a shootout.

While Miami fans inside the stadium were ecstatic at the outcome and the fact that Messi scored in his fourth consecutive game, at least one Messi fan wasn’t having the same kind of enchanted evening.

In a video that is now circulating social media, a fight breaks out at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, where the Miami vs. Dallas game is taking place. From the video, it looks like a man wearing a Messi jersey from the Argentina National Team and a woman are throwing punches at two men.

It’s unknown if the men are Dallas fans and something was said between the two parties, but the fight went on for a few seconds before the footage ended. In the last frame of the video, the sleeve of a law enforcement officer can be seen coming into view, although we’re not sure if the cop was able to stop the fight on their own.

“Woah lol, chill, it’s just a game bruh,” the person who took the video wrote as a comment alongside the footage. Another social media user said, “Hey folks, it’s just a game, relax.”

Something must be in the air at professional sporting venues in Dallas in recent days. On Saturday night (August 5), a series of fights broke out inside American Airlines Arena where Nate Diaz was boxing against Jake Paul. And then there was the fight between José Ramírez and Tim Anderson during a Cleveland Guardians and the Chicago White Sox game.

Either way, Lionel Messi would definitely not approve.
