This Saturday, Mexican jockey Victor Espinoza will have a chance to win the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing.
If he wins this Saturday, he will become not only the first Latino jockey to do so, but also the first jockey to win all three races since 1995, and the first to do so since 1978 riding the same horse (American Pharaoh).
The feat, however, will not be easy. Espinoza was in the exact same spot lost year and finished in 4th place. In fact, he has never won the Belmont Stakes.
So we can do nothing but wait and hope that Victor Espinoza continues his already impressive jockey career.
