Robin Lopez, who is tied for NBA’s biggest comic book geek with his twin brother Brook, has a well-documented history of feuding with team mascots. But yesterday, the Knicks player got burned by The Raptor, Toronto’s mascot. The Raptor held a sign of his favorite Lopezes, and there was no space for Robin.

Robin reacted in his typical way, and beat up The Raptor. But it’s The Raptor that won the night. Back in 2014, Robin named The Toronto Raptor the NBA’s most annoying mascot. “I wish we could go back to Toronto, because he gets my goat,” Robin told Williamette Week. “I have a few choice words for that guy.” When asked to elaborate, all he said was, “No. He knows.”

The Knicks will face off the Cavaliers this week, and Robin has previously disrespected Moondog by calling him a Stan.

Personally, I’d like to see him go after the New Orleans Pelicans King Cake Baby.
