Argentine football club Sacachispas have built quite the reputation for dressing up in ridiculous outfits for team photos. Back in May, they made headlines for dressing up like the Justice League prior to their epic Copa Argentina upset over Arsenal de Sarandi. Fast forward to Wednesday, and the superheroes have thrown away their masks and donned some gladiator-looking gear before going into another Copa Argentina battle.

Dressed in warrior costumes, complete with weapons, shields, and silly helmets, Sacachispas hoped to ride their ridiculous pre-game ritual to a round of 32 victory over first division side Sarmiento. Alas, the luck of the superheroes left the fourth-division side, and the gladiators could only muster a one goal in a 3-1 defeat that sees them leave the competition, albeit with their helmeted heads held high.

Despite the lack of another major upset, the club gave us a classic pre-game photo opp to add to the collection. Previously, Sacachispas had dressed up as the aforementioned superheroes, as well as donning bunny ears, Santa hats, and wizard hats and robes. With Halloween around the corner, the club is surely brainstorming ideas to go viral for their pre-game silliness in the coming months. Win or lose, Sacachispas does it all in style.
