The upcoming November 21 fight between Miguel Cotto and Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez might not be as huge as an American vs. a giant assassin Russian in the middle of the Cold War, but it will still be pretty exciting. The rivalry between Puerto Rico and Mexico is back, and everyone is psyched, Rocky Balboa included.
Actor Sylvester Stallone and his daughter visited the Wild Card Boxing gym in Los Angeles, where Cotto trains with Hall of Fame coach Freddie Roach.
Stallone took the opportunity to pose for a picture with the Puerto Rican fighter, who is one of his favorites, and also talk with Roach about some of the athletes training at his gym.
“He fights. He fights. Some people box, some people dance, [but] he fights,” stated Stallone regarding Cotto. “I’m going to put him in a movie. He’ll be the real Rocky,” the actor continued.
Of course, we don’t blame Stallone for being super excited to chill with Cotto, especially with the huge fight happening in 17 days. Stay tuned!
