Glory Glory Man Uni…oops. Sorry Van Gaal, looks like “not getting on well” with Ángel Di María and proceeding to sell him to PSG this summer might have been a massive mistake. Immense, even. Exhibit A:

It was with this sensational strike that I felt a sudden pang in my heart (as I longed for the days when Ángelito was still a madridista), and PSG fans everywhere felt a glimmer of hope emerge in their eyes, as their long-awaited dreams of Champions League glory now seem more attainable than ever. Granted, this was a relatively routine 2-0 win over Malmö, but Di María opened up the 2015-16 Champions League scoring mark in sublime fashion, with this golazo de zurda, leaving all of our mouths (and hearts) gaping open.

The goal was his first since joining the Paris side, and his ninth in Champions League action. Not only was he dangerous in front of the goal, he showed his characteristic quickness in 1v1s, and produced an all-around standout performance. In fact, the front page of Le Parisien stated that the Argentine “enchanted” Parc des Princes with his efforts.

Does PSG have what it takes to win the Champions League? Could this finally be their year?
