During a hard-fought wrestling match between Damian Priest and Rey Mysterio on WWE Monday Night RAW (April 24), Bad Bunny showed up in the arena to put a beating on Priest after Priest was disqualified for hitting Mysterio in the head with a steel chair.
Bad Bunny strolled to the ring wearing a brown cowboy hat and an oversize button-down shirt. In his hands was a kendo stick, which is a Japanese weapon made from bamboo.
“He is walking with intent,” one of the WWE commentators says. Another adds: “Bad Bunny is staring a hole through Damian Priest.”
He then climbs into the ring with the kendo stick and whacks Priest in the stomach and on his back. Priest jumps out of the ring, but Bad Bunny follows him and continues to hit him with the stick. “Bad Bunny – absolutely fearless,” one of the commentators says. “Bad Bunny out here swinging heavy.”
After Priest finally got away from the thrashing, Bad Bunny challenged him to a “Street Fight” match at WWE Backlash on May 6 in Puerto Rico.
Earlier this month, Priest slammed Bad Bunny through a table on RAW, which is probably the reason he wanted to get some payback. Now, with their rivalry heating up, fans are looking forward to seeing what the multihyphenate can do in his first singles wrestling match.
Some believe the upcoming match will find its way into the annals of history.
For many people, the fact that this match is going to happen seems more important than who actually comes out victorious.
It’s obvious that May 6 can’t come soon enough.
