What Is the FIFA Club World Cup 2025?

The FIFA Club World Cup, featuring 32 teams from each of the six international confederations: AFC, CAF, Concacaf, CONMEBOL, OFC, and UEFA, will be played in 2025 in the United States. But what exactly is the FIFA Club World Cup, and is this the first edition of it? We’ve got an answer.
First played in the year 2000 as the FIFA Club World Championship, the tournament now called the FIFA Club World Cup is an international men’s fútbol competition organized by FIFA, and basically the club version of the FIFA World Cup. That means the best clubs from around the world face off, instead of the best national teams. The event has been revamped since its first edition and is now set to be played every four years, starting in 2025.
In the 2025 edition, one team from the host country will go head to head against 4 teams from Africa, 4 from Asia, 12 from UEFA (Europe), 4 from CONCACAF (North America, Central America, and the Caribbean), 1 from Oceania, and 6 from CONMEBOL (South America). The teams who will participate in the 2025 edition are divided into eight groups, as follows:

The FIFA Club World Cup is set to kick off on Saturday, June 14, at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium with a game between Inter Miami CF and Al Ahly FC.
