While Elvis Crespo has been busy writing love songs based off of the supposed Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán-Kate del Castillo romance, his wife Emma Coronel Aispuro has remained silent. Until now. Coronel, a 26-year-old former beauty queen, broke her silence and has granted Telemundo her first interview since her husband was recaptured and tied to La Reina del Sur.
“They are trying to get payback for the escape,” she told Telemundo. “They saw they aren’t punishing him, but of course they are. They are with him all day, looking at him in his cell. All day they are there. They are checking in on him every hour, they don’t let him sleep. He doesn’t have privacy, not even when he uses the bathroom.”
The interview doesn’t air until 7 p.m. on Sunday (don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated), which means we still don’t have some of the juicier details – AKA we have no idea how she feels about rumors that El Chapo fell for Kate. Stay tuned.
