Red Hook vendors are BACK this weekend

Summer is just not summer without street vendors selling all the foods we’re not supposed to touch if we hope to don a bikini this year. The beach is overrated, anyhow, and the Red Hook vendors of Brooklyn highly underrated.

As a California born and bred Mexican spending my first summer in New York, finding a decent taco hasn’t been easy. My ultimate hope lies in the Red Hook Park vendors who were nearly shut down due to health regulations, but are to be back in business this Saturday (or next), according to an article in the Daily News. I’ve heard nothing but five-star praises for the tacos and huaraches, along with other Latin-American dishes like Colombian chuzos, Ecuadorian ceviches, and Salvadoran pupusas.

So this Saturday (or next… it’s still not official), take the F or G to Smith and 9th and join me and surely many others in Red Hook for some of the best Latin American food NY has to offer.
