Valentine’s Day is this weekend, which means absolute dread for some and happy, fuzzy feels for others. Not to worry; Remezcla knows where to go to party this weekend where you’ll either find the love of your life, fall in love with the DJ, or fall in love with the coco…errr, or whatever (Editor: We don’t condone this). Here are 5 parties this week in Phoenix to go out dancing, hang out, read a comic book with your bae or just celebrate yourself. And if this weekend really got you down, remember: this is just a capitalist holiday to sell chocolate. Enjoy!
Peculiar that the nerdiest fest in Arizona happens to fall on Valentine’s Day Weekend. Peculiar indeed… or incredibly clever? The convention draws hundreds of The Walking Dead, Marvel, DC, and cosplay fans to the Phoenix Convention Center every year, it should be no surprise to any of us if you find your geeky counterpart waiting in line for a panel to open or the main showroom. 1 Day Passes run for $25, but a full 3-day pass is mere $60 (probably the cheapest convention ticket in the country, we would know *wink)

Nothing says ‘I Love You’ like a frosty cold one, especially if it’s home brewed. The Arizona Beer Week ends on Valentine’s Day with a big festival, celebrating the huge variety of craft beers — as well as specialty styles and unique, just-for-this-event brews — are made available to festival-goers. Those who partake will receive a commemorative two -ounce tasting glass and 40 tasting tickets for the price of general admission. And because food and beer just naturally go together, there will be plenty of top-notch food vendors on hand, serving up tasty eats that wash down well with frosty suds.
