There is no schlocky B-movie Danny Trejo won’t agree to star in. A trilogy of films loosely based on the viral AC Transit Bus fight internet video? He’s on it. A direct-to-video sequel to a shark attack flick? Yep, no problem. A futuristic dark comedy car racing action sequel? Sure. He’d love to. The Echo Park native is the kind of tireless, fearless actor who, in an earlier era, would have been a Midnight Movies star. It’s what made him such a perfect fit for Robert Rodriguez’s Machete, the former Mexican federal police officer that populates the same-titled films that are as gory and violent as he is.
What we’re saying is: with Trejo, you know what you’re getting, he knows what he’s serving, and you probably already know if that’s your thing. But if you’ve watched Machete and are looking to screen a kick-ass home film festival featuring everyone’s favorite Mexican-American badass, take your pick from the Netflix pics below.
