On a trip to the DR in 2016, while Mandi was recovering from a sickness, Miguel slipped the engagement ring on her finger early in the morning. “I kind of slide out stealthily,” Miguel told Vogue. “Grab the ring, get her hand, and delicately slide it on and then get back in bed until she wakes up. It takes her a minute to notice it and then she notices it.” Mandi added, “I turned over and was like, ‘Oh my god, I did not expect this at all!’”

They almost had a tres leches cake.

In a short video capturing the couple’s wedding planning process, Miguel reveals they almost ordered a tres leches cake, but Mandi opted for coconut instead.

Miguel wore clout goggles.
