The Latino Punk Fest’s organizers use a lot of descriptors to prep you for what to expect at their showcases–rotten, crusty, raw, anti-capitalist, immigrant– leaving the rest for you to fill in the blanks firsthand August 8 – 10 at spaces across NYC.

The three day non-profit fest, setting the tone with their slogan “Resistance is Solidarity,” will unite Latino punk outfits with roots in Panama, Ecuador, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and more at DIY spaces like 538 Johnson punx house, C-Squat, and Parche Punk. With the bands fronting their own expenses to travel to New York from points near and far, heading out to support the endeavor will literally go the extra mile to make it all happen.

The fest has already announced an extensive lineup with still more booking in the works– keep an eye on their event page as more bands are added!
