In 2004, De’Anza Paredes decided to take a risk with her career. She packed her bags and left the comfort of her hometown Santa Fe, New Mexico, for the unknown territory of Los Angeles, California. The gamble seems to have paid off.
De’Anza obtained a degree in Music/Vocal Performance from the Los Angeles Music Academy College and is now readying her debut EP for release this summer. “Despertar” is the first single and a hypnotic and catchy tune thanks to a few select plucks and strokes on a vihuela, some beats, and, yes, that magical voice.
