The Spanish music scene’s love for all things post-punk/new wave extends into its territories. Monstruobot from The Canary Islands (would that be Canary Islander?) recently released their first new track in what feels like forever (ok, technically since 2011).
“Miramos A La Muerte” is the first single off the band’s upcoming album scheduled for release some time next year. The video is by Sara Garsía, a film student from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, where the band is also from. The band is a bit more pop, even chill wave-ish, compared to dudes like Capitán, at times even sounding like they’re taking a page from their Spanish peers El Aviador Dro.
