Who better to save Valentine’s Day than the King of White Pants himself? Just a few days after debuting his first single in 3 years, Romeo Santos has returned with the visuals for “Héroe Favorito,” reminding us that the world isn’t totally overrun with babosos and pariguayos. In the clip, Santos flexes his superhuman powers as he chases after his love interest, a client he chauffeurs around Los Angeles in a Rolls-Royce. We see the bachatero scale skyscrapers and stop car crashes with his bare hands (someone’s been hitting up Planet Fitness on the regular). Eventually, Romeo blasts off with his boo into space, and then to a rural corn field free of cardigan-wearing rich boys and overflowing with, well, corn.
It’s a classic Romeo video – expensive cars, beautiful women, and a maudlin romance for the ages. We’re glad to have his lovable antics back. Let the cheese melt.
