Bad Bunny recently made some major moves on his social media accounts. On Monday (January 9), the “Tití Me Preguntó” icon set his Instagram page to private. This means his 44.9 million followers can no longer see his posts.

On Twitter, where Bad Bunny has 4.9 million followers, he posted a cryptic phrase “They will miss me…” in his bio. His profile photo features the animated character Bart Simpson from the long-running TV series The Simpsons listening to music on his headphones.

Bad Bunny does not follow anyone on either platform. He also doesn’t follow anyone on TikTok where he boasts 30.7 million followers. As of press time, his TikTok profile looks to be the only one of the big three that he hasn’t made a change to. All his videos on the platform are still available. The last video he posted was on New Year’s Day 2023 where he softly sung lyrics from his 2021 song “Yonaguni.”

Last year around the same time, Bad Bunny deleted all the content from his Instagram account and posted his first video on TikTok. When he returned to Instagram after a short hiatus, he didn’t post much. He only posted 17 times on his new account last year before he made it private on Monday.

When Bad Bunny joined TikTok in January 2022, he quickly picked up five million followers with his first video where he can be seen sporting some serious bedhead and holding a coffee cup. The clip then cuts to him holding a bottle of champagne in front of a Christmas tree and wearing a pair of novelty glasses.

Maybe this is a New Year’s resolution for Bad Bunny. Maybe he believes starting the year off on a clean slate means also wiping away his social media before coming back to it later. Nevertheless, if Bad Bunny decides to return to Instagram, we’re sure his fans will be ready to welcome him back with open arms.
