It seems like everyone wants a piece of singer J Balvin these days, and not just fellow rappers like Bad Bunny and Cardi B. Major companies also want to collaborate with the Prince of Reggaeton – from UPS to Nike to Miller Lite. And who could blame them? Balvin’s stake is at an all-time high right now and brands are biting at the bit to get him on board.

Next up for the Balvin sweepstakes is Fortnite, which hit it big when they got the Grammy winner to partner with them for a new skin. The J Balvin Icon Series will be available for purchase in the Fortnite Item Shop on August 26 at 8 p.m. EST.

There, fans of Fortnite and Balvin can purchase his new gear and accessories; which include the Balvin Cruiser glider, real pickaxe, and real back bling. There are also two additional styles: Energia Balvin and Skeleton Balvin. Each style comes with Balvin’s customized Jordan 1 kicks and an In Da Party emote that features J Balvin and Skrillex’s 2021 song “In Da Getto.”

If you can’t wait to get the J Balvin skin, players who compete in the J Balvin Cup on August 24 can unlock it early. Read all about the J Balvin Cup official rules at epicgames.com.

For some Fortnite devotees, getting a new skin for Fortnite can be a big mission. There is nothing more important than winning a J Balvin skin.

It’s especially noteworthy since that means Balvin will be one of the few known Latine people to join the game. Remember, footballer Neymar was transformed into a skin as well, so Balvin isn’t alone. Fans, however, hope Balvin is not the last to be immortalized in Fortnite. Representation matters – in video games, too.
