Christian Nodal will not perform in Argentina as scheduled after its announcement was controversial. On Aug. 1, Billboard Argentina confirmed that the música mexicana singer’s original Pa’l Cora Tour stop on Aug. 14 at Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was officially postponed. As of now, there is no new date available.

Though Nodal has yet to speak out about the situation, the tour’s website notes that his next tour dates are now at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, from Aug. 23 to 25. According to Billboard, the show’s producer didn’t provide the media outlet with a new date or further details.

Social media users are commenting about the alleged show cancellation. A social media user wrote in Spanish: “nodal canceled his show in argentina, poetic justice is so nice 😊.” Another social media user echoed the same sentiment: “Argentina CANCELLED Nodal!!! They canceled his shows. KARMA comes back papi.”

The Internet’s reaction isn’t surprising since many social media users weren’t into the idea of the Mexican singer performing in Argentina from the start. The controversial timing for the announcement of the Buenos Aires show came only a few weeks after Nodal confirmed his separation from the country’s famous trap star, Cazzu. Adding to that, only two weeks after they announced their breakup, Nodal and música mexicana singer Ángela Aguilar revealed they were in a relationship, which didn’t sit well with many Cazzu fans.

Nodal and Aguilar have since tied the knot. Fans are now speculating that Aguilar is pregnant, however, there’s no confirmation from either artist. As for the Argentinean powerhouse, she recently reappeared on social media singing Selena Quintanilla’s heartfelt iconic song “Como La Flor.”

Up next, the “Adiós Amor” singer’s U.S. tour leg will kick off in Seattle, WA, on Sept. 11. He will then perform in major cities like Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Chicago, and many more.
