The first round of performers for the 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards has been announced. Artists from across several genres like Grupo Firme, Eslabón Armado, Camilo, CNCO, and Maluma will be performing at the event next month.

Among the artists performing, Eslabón Armado is the most nominated. The Mexican-American band has six nominations this year, including Hot Latin Songs Artist of the Year, Duo, or Group. In May, the sierreño act made history when their album Nostalgia became the first regional Mexican album to enter the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. The LP debuted at No. 9 on the chart.

More regional Mexican music will be present onstage with Grupo Firme. The Mexican banda act is up for five nominations, including Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, Duo, or Group. An icon in the genre, Pepe Aguilar, is also slated to perform at the awards.

From the Latine pop scene, Camilo will be performing at the event. He recently collaborated with Grupo Firme for his new single “Alaska.” He is nominated for Latin Pop Artist of the Year, Solo. CNCO will be hitting the stage as well. The quartet will be releasing their final album as a group, XOXO, tomorrow (Aug. 26). Argentinian pop star TINI is also slated to perform.

As of now, Maluma is the only reggaeton artist confirmed to perform at the event. He’s nominated twice this year, including for Tour of the Year. Colombian icon Carlos Vives will be singing at the event as well and has been nominated twice in the tropical genre categories.

Spanish singer Pablo López is another confirmed performer. The 2022 Billboard Latin Music Awards will be broadcast live on Telemundo on Thursday, Sept. 29. The awards will also coincide with Billboard Latin Music Week, happening in Miami, FL, from Sept. 26 to Oct. 1.
