RBD is back! On the heels of the Mexican telenovela group’s reunion, they have released their first new song in 12 years, “Siempre He Estado Aquí.” This marks the first release from RBD as a quartet.

RBD broke up at the end of 2008 right before the release of the group’s parting album Para Olvidarte de Mí. After over a decade of their musical catalog missing from digital streaming platforms, the members got together this year to change that. Since then, RBD’s fans have been vibing to the band’s classics like “Sálvame,” “Nuestro Amor,” and “Solo Quedate En Silencio.”

With the RBD’s return, the group also promised new music. Four of RBD’s members, Anahí, Maite Perroni, Christian Chávez, and Christopher von Uckermann, came together to record their comeback single “Siempre He Estado Aquí.” The song was written and produced by Mauricio Rengifo and Andrés Torres, the guys who co-wrote the global smash “Despacito,” so RBD 2.0 is not playing any games.

On the soaring pop-rock ballad, they take turns letting the fans know that despite their long absence, RBD will always be there for them. To mark the band’s return, this is the perfect warm welcome back.

Six-hundred fans who partake in the “Siempre He Estado Aquí” TikToK challenge will be able to win tickets to RBD’s live-stream reunion concert on Dec. 26. Even though Dulce María and Alfonso “Poncho” Herrera are not part of the band’s new musical activities, there’s a chance they will pop up during the “Ser o Parecer” virtual reunion event.
