Latine music’s rising stars were centerstage at SXSW. On Friday night (March 17), Colombian singer Feid and Puerto Rican rapper Eladio Carrión headlined Billboard’s The Stage at the Texas festival.

SXSW is an annual conference and festival celebrating the convergence of tech, film, music, education, and culture in Austin. The festival’s music portion highlights artists and sounds from around the world. At the Billboard event, Carrión was the first to hit the Moody Amphitheater stage. During his set, he proudly represented Latine trap with bangers like “Kemba Walker,” “Sin Freno,” and “No Te Deseo Mal.” Carrión also performed his song “Tata,” which dabbles in the drill music sound. His set also included the corrido tumbado-infused “Ele Uve.” Carrión flexed his versatile flow that fits in any genre.

Feid followed up Carrión with a hits-filled set. Friday was also Saint Patrick’s Day, so his signature green color guaranteed he wouldn’t get pinched. Feid’s performed all the top songs from his breakthrough LP Feliz Cumpleaños Ferxxo Te Pirateamos El Album, including the viral title track and “Normal.” He also sang his Billboard Hot 100 hits “Hey Mor” and “Yandel 150.” Feid’s Sixdo EP also got some love with a “Chorrito Pa’ Las Animas” performance.

Carrión’s SXSW happened the same day he released his new album, 3MEN2 KBRN. The LP includes features from Lil Wayne on the “Gladiador” remix,” 50 Cent in “Si Salimos,” and Future in the “Mbappé” remix. Carrión also teamed up with his “Kemba Walker” collaborator Bad Bunny for the song “Coco Chanel.” Their collaboration went viral because Benito appeared to take a swipe at Kendall Jenner’s ex Devin Booker. Carrión will perform at Coachella next month.

Last Friday, Feid released his new single, “Remix Exclusivo.” The alluring track is a mash-up of a new song and Feid’s homage to Yandel’s classic “Te Suelto El Pelo.” Feid is bringing his Ferxxo Nitro Jam Underground Tour to the U.S. next month. The first show kicks off on Apr. 20 in Seattle, WA.
