Pabllo Vittar and Gloria Groove teamed up for “Ameianoite,” released yesterday (Nov. 3). Brazil’s top drag pop stars share a kiss in the bewitching video.

“Ameianoite” marks the second collaboration between Vittar and Groove after 2018’s “Joga Bunda.” The song is also the second single from Vittar’s album, dubbed PV5 for now. In the baile funk banger with elements of electronica, Vittar and Groove trade verses about coming alive after midnight. They’re ready to win over their lovers with their spellbinding moves.

Vittar brings the witchy vibe of “Ameianoite” in the music video, directed by Fernando Nogari. In between images that evoke the Salem Witch Trials and Michelangelo’s Pietà sculpture, Vittar and Groove look fierce together as they execute incredible choreography. At the center of a ring of fire, the two drag singers kiss each other. Vittar continues to push drag and LGBTQ+ culture to exciting places in her videos.

Vittar is busting down doors for drag artists and singers. Back in April, Vittar made history as the first drag queen to perform on the mainstage at Coachella. In addition to frequently collaborating with fellow Brazilian star Anitta, Vittar has worked with artists around the world. Last year, Lady Gaga handpicked Vittar to remix “Fun Tonight,” which she also featured on. In the past few years, she has also collaborated with Charli XCX, Rina Sawayama, and Major Lazer.

Groove has followed in Vittar’s footsteps. Earlier this year, she surpassed RuPaul as the second-most followed drag queen on Instagram, behind Vittar, who occupies the top spot on the platform.

Earlier this week, Vittar applauded the victory of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, who will become Brazil’s next president. She threw her support behind Lula during his campaign that triumphed over Jair Bolsonaro, who was running for re-election.
