Viral sensation Nathan Apodacaa a.k.a Doggface has tested positive for COVID-19. The Native-Mexican Idahoan made the announcement Tuesday (Dec. 15) on his Instagram account.

“Dis Bitch got me plz send prayers,” Apodaca wrote. “Appreciate you all stay blessed.”

His fiancée, Estela Chavez, also tested positive. TMZ first reported the news saying that the couple started feeling ill when they got home after traveling to Los Angeles.

Apodaca swept the nation off its feet back in September when the self-described “cholo,” who goes by the name @420doggface208 on TikTok, posted a video of himself riding his longboard while lip-syncing Fleetwood Mac’s catchy song “Dreams” and drinking cran-raspberry juice straight from the container.

Many people considered Apodaca’s video a much-needed break from all the negative news that 2020 has delivered so far. Since September, the video has racked up nearly 12 million views and spurred countless other versions from people hoping to recreate his laid-back “morning vibe.”

Apodaca seemed to be in good spirits after posting his diagnosis on Instagram. His follow-up post was a video of himself dancing in his living room to Gloria Gaynor’s hit song “I Will Survive.” The video starts with a shot of what looks like a big bowl of menudo nearby waiting to be devoured.

While the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has not listed menudo and cranberry juice as effective treatments for the coronavirus, at least fans know he still has a good appetite.

2020 might be trying to wrap up the year with a big thud, but Apodaca seems to be taking it all in stride—once again.
